» The Project is designed to improve and upgrade Central Region Transportation Network with approximately 1,200 km of road in 19 Provinces. » The main tasks of the Project are included of the Civil Works, Improvement Works of the existing road according to Vietnam standard, making assessment of institutional capacity and training needs, carrying out the consulting service of Civil Works Preparation Services, The Implementation Services, the Institutional Development Services and Gender, HIV, Anti-Trafficking Services » The main objection of the Project are: (i) to assist PMU 1 and PPMUs to confirm the scope of improvements in road networks; (ii) to prepare detailed engineering designs, cost estimation and bid documents; (iii) to prepare Resettlement Plans, Examinations and Environmental Management Plan and assist PPMU in ensuring compliance with ADB Environmental Guideline; (v) to provide formal and on-job-training to PMU1 and PPMU staff in procurement of civil works, resettlement, social assessment, gender, ethnic minority plans and preparation of environmental assessments and project management plan. |
